Senior Payroll Manager – SAP

My client is one of the UK’s leading providers of business process outsourcing and support services for the public and commercial sectors.

Delivering specialist business process services where business knowledge is critical at every stage, their highly experienced and dedicated teams care about helping organisations get results and achieve the highest levels of service, including Revenues & Benefits, Finance and Accounting, HR & Payroll and Customer Services.

Currently going through an exciting growth period and expanding their portfolio of offerings I am now on the search for a Payroll Manager with expert SAP knowledge, to be part of the HR Payroll senior team managing one of their most loyal clients.

The role

  • Overall responsibility for day to day delivery of clients payroll service through leadership of staff and continuous review of procedures
  • Production of key monitoring information re service levels and financial performance
  • Improve the effectiveness of the service delivered to clients through process and organisation improvements (consistent performance management, increasing first time resolution, reducing handoff, and increasing quality) and developing skills and competencies in line with this
  • Take an active part in the Payroll Management Team to share best practice
  • Lead and inspire the teams / direct reports, using management techniques such as coaching, motivation, performance management, communication, delegation, training and development
  • Work with senior leadership team to meet or exceed client needs and lead specific aspects of the relationship with our clients to deliver contractual requirements, including day to day liaison and formal client reporting

The person

  • Expert SAP payroll experience- critical for this role
  • Payment management experience
  • Excellent leadership and staff development skills
  • Outstanding customer service skills and ability to inspire and develop this in others
  • Understanding of business process outsourcing
  • Strong performance management skills
  • Good project management/ business process engineering skills
  • Experience in meeting challenging deadlines
