You will be responsible for HR and Payroll service lines, leading, motivating, advising, and organising your team to ensure the successful achievement of KPIs and SLAs. The role supports a large local council and schools within the local area. Your team will be based out of the Bromley office working hybrid and you will also have home workers as party of your team.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Responsible for a team of 19, ownership of work distribution and allocation of priorities – office and home based team members
- Ensuring the team deliver to meet contractual targets and in line with operational (procedural) standards
- Maintain monthly control & reconciliation process
- Ensure team members are managed within policy and procedures
- Champion, support and deliver continual process improvement with digital first approach
- Identify training and development needs within your team
- Review, update and maintain office procedures and process documentation
- Support Operations Manager at meetings with the client as required
- Supports strategic HR & Payroll initiatives and projects
- Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Produce client KPI reporting packs
Essential Skills and Attributes:
- HR & Payroll transactional experience
- Ideally working towards a Professional qualification or an equivalent level of experience – CIPD / CIPP
- Experience of working in Local Government authority’s, including schools is an advantage
- Experience\understanding in meeting service line targets
- Knowledge of service line activity of various IT systems inc. Oracle & iTrent
- Excellent organisational and relationship skills
- Strong client and people management skills is essential
